Creating our Treasure Trunks

The Treasure Trunks idea came about as a result of us realising just how many items we had in our cupboard which were going unseen! We decided to create a series of memory boxes on the themes of 'High Days and Holidays', 'Make Do and Mend', 'Pastimes and Play' and 'House and Home' which could be hired out to stimulate memory and reminiscence and relive stories about the past.  Holmfirth Library kindly agreed to store the trunks for us so that they could be accessed easily by members of the public wishing to book them.

Our Treasure Trunks were generously funded by South Pennine Leader
