Tales from Nab

ImageIn the Autumn of 2015 we had the privilege of working with poet and broadcaster Ian McMillan and composer Luke Carver Goss on a project which uses the old to invent the new - taking memories and imagination and creating a collection of new and exciting songs about and for Holmfirth. ImageIan is an expert at getting the very best out of children and inspiring their creative talent.  Working alongside members of Sharing Memories and pupils from Holmfirth Junior and Infant School we wrote a series of new songs including 'The magical, mystical Holmfirth tree' and the tragic tale of Winston Happened and how he fell off a ledge and ate poisoned berries.  The songs were performed at a special evening called 'Tiger Tales' at the 2016 Holmfirth Arts Festival.
